Oracle asks FERC to speed New Mexico gas pipeline for Project Jupiter

Oracle renewed its request to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to speed approval of the 17.8 mile Green Chile pipeline that would supply natural gas for the 2.5 gigawatt Project Jupiter data center near El Paso. In its letter, Oracle cited peak construction employment and economic output figures for Dona Ana County. The pipeline operation date has slipped to February 2027 after local opposition forced the developer to reroute around state land, and environmental groups and the New Mexico attorney general have asked FERC to broaden its environmental review.

Oracle sends force majeure notice to Blue Owl over New Mexico Stargate site

Oracle sent a force majeure notice to developer Blue Owl tied to Project Jupiter, a 2.45 GW AI campus in Doña Ana County, New Mexico anchored by the Stargate venture. The notice would let Oracle defer payments if the site misses its 2028 in service date, after an Energy Transfer gas pipeline was pushed to February 2027 and other permits were denied. Oracle told reporters it is not exiting the lease.
